New York: Coward McCann, 1968. First Edition. REVIEW COPY, with publisher's review slip laid in, and the original teletype printout of Tom Vickerman's review of this title for the Chicago Daily News.
Basis for one of Claude Chabrol's finest early films, "La Rupture" (1970).
Very Good plus in a Near Fine dust jacket. Apart from some foxing and a splash stain to the top page edges and just a touch of rubbing to the gilt spine lettering, book is bright and clean. Jacket is quite nice, with a bit of crimping at the spine ends and brief foxing to the verso. Not to be confused with the much more common book club edition. Extremely scarce in any condition.
