New York: Samuel French, 1930. First Edition. A prison drama with proletarian leanings, basis for the 1959 film noir starring Mickey Rooney and Frank Conroy. Near Fine in a Very Good plus example of the rare dust jacket. Jacket has a few small chips at the corners, light fray at the crown, slight toning to the spine panel, and a diagonal closed tear at the top right corner of the rear panel. A very presentable copy, and the only jacketed example we have ever handled. [Book #108532]
