New York: Random House, 1962. First Edition. INSCRIBED by Paddy Chayefsky on the front endpaper: "6/13/62 / To Fran / With very best regards, and all the jazz / Paddy Chayefsky." Following on the dedication page is an inscription to the same Fran, from the book's dedicatee, Bobby Sanford, reading: "For dear, dear Frannie / I adore you / Bob Sanford."
Pinhead-size hole at the top of the front hinge, else Fine in a strong Very Good plus dust jacket. Jacket is lightly rubbed at the extremities, with a couple of tiny closed tears. A very presentable copy, and an uncommon signature. In addition to his work as a playwright in the 1950s and 1960s, Chayefsky went on to write some of the most important film screenplays of the 1970s, including "The Americanization of Emily" (1964), "The Hospital" (1971) and "Network" (1976).
