Hollywood: RKO Radio Pictures / Winkler and Ramen, 1941. First Edition. Fine in saddle-stitched wrappers (softcover). A full-color, 18-page souvenir program for Welles' 1941 masterpiece, "Citizen Kane," sold only at the 1941 first-run screenings of the film in the United States. Easily Near Fine, with only minute rubbing to a couple of spots.
The program begins with references to Welles' then-well-known productions of Shakespeare with the Mercury Theatre, followed by a guide to the making of "Citizen Kane," a full production listing, and a photo illustrated guide to the members of the cast (known at the time as "The Mercury Actors"). Profusely photo illustrated throughout. A very scarce piece of ephemera associated with Welles' first film, only the third copy we have ever seen.
