Burbank: Warner Brothers, 1946. Original pressbook for the 1946 film, "Nobody Lives Forever," directed by Jean Negulesco, adapted for the screen by W. R. Burnett from his 1943 novel, and starring John Garfield, Geraldine Fitzgerald, and Walter Brennan. In his follow-up to "The Postman Always Rings Twice," Garfield stars as a gambler and returning veteran who becomes involved in a plot to con a young widow (Geraldine Fitzgerald) out of her fortune but falls for her instead, with deadly consequences. 26 pages, saddle stitched, 11 x 17 inches. Moderate horizontal fold crease at the center of the wrapper and pages, with a little splitting on either end. Very Good plus condition. Stamp to the front cover. Light erasure mark to upper front corner. One of a string of critically acclaimed performances by Garfield, which culminated in an Academy award nomination for "Body and Soul" (1947).
