Target Zero

Burbank, CA: Warner Brothers, 1954. Final shooting script for the 1955 film, "Target Zero," directed by Harmon Jones, written for the screen by James Warner Bellah and Sam Rolfe, and starring Richard Conte, Charles Bronson, and a young Chuck Connors. This is producer David Weisbart's bound presentation copy, including a staff and cast list with contact phone numbers and a page describing the central characters in detail.

Underrated war film, centering on an American outpost at the Allied line in Korea that is wiped out and must be reclaimed by a rag-tag patrol of soldiers and stragglers. An interesting fictional premise that reflects the very real and lengthy stalemate reached during the Korean War.

Red leather with raised bands, gilt design, titles, and rule. Title page present, with a credit for screenwriter Rolfe, dated 8/20/52. 89 leaves, mimeograph, with principal leaves white and dated 8/20/52, with blue revision pages throughout dated between 8/27/54 and 9/8/54. Pages Near Fine, binding Very Good plus with some faint stains and a single scratch on the rear board.
