Glendale, CA: Allied Artists, 1953. Draft script for the 1954 film noir, with the working title "Off the Record" printed on the front wrapper, the final title "Loophole," in holograph pencil just above it, and a date of 1953 and the name "Ken" in holograph ink just above that. One of best of the efficient B-noirs produced by Allied Artists during the 1950s, with strong performances by Charles McGraw and Dorothy Malone. Something of a noir update to "Les Miserables," with much location shooting in Los Angeles. Blue studio wrappers, noted as production No. 305, with a credit for "Lindsley Parsons Prod., Inc.," at the bottom left corner. Distribution page integral with title page, with receipt removed, copy No. 55 rubber-stamped at the top right corner, with credits for screenwriters Bricker, Babcock, and Douglas. 135 leaves, mimeograph. Pages and wrapper Very Good, wrapper with a dampstain at the top right corner (pages not affected), bound with two gold brads.
