Fifty Roads to Town

Boston: Little, Brown, 1936. First Edition. INSCRIBED by the author in the year of publication on the front endpaper: "For Harry and Shirley Steeger / With the best wishes of the author / Frederick Nebel / Ridgefield, Conn. / Jan 24, 1936." Very Good plus in a Very Good plus dust jacket. Slightest lean, light toning and faint soil to the backstrip and board edges. Jacket is as nice as we have seen on this title, with only a small chip at the crown and light edge rubbing to note. An attractive copy.

One of two mysteries by Nebel, a charter member of the Black Mask school. This novel involves a group of strangers snowbound in a Maine village.
