New York: Harper and Brothers, 1959. First Edition. Near Fine in a bright, superior, Near Fine dust jacket. A touch of fading to the board edges, else book is quite clean. Only the most minor evidence of wear to the jacket, with one tiny closed tear and the faintest rubbing to the spine ends--absolutely none of the usual toning or discoloration that is found to its sensitive white portions.
The author's signature title, chronicling the rise and fall of pool shark Fast Eddie Felson. Basis for the classic 1961 film, starring Paul Newman, Jackie Gleason, Piper Laurie and George C. Scott. [Book #124616]
