The Ox-Bow Incident

New York: Random House, 1940. First Edition. Very Good plus in a Very Good plus dust jacket with the integral bookmark intact at the rear flap. Binding very slightly cocked, two faint lending library stamps on the front endpaper. Jacket has a couple of short closed tears, nicking at the crown, and a very faint crease along front hinge fold.

A novel in which two drifters become entangled with a local lynch mob bent on hanging a man who may or may not be a murderer. Basis for the seminal 1943 film directed by William Wellman and starring Henry Fonda and Anthony Quinn. A very presentable copy.
