A prospectus for a 60-day tour of Europe and the Soviet Union with an inter-racial study group, under the direction of a young Langston Hughes. With a detailed daily itinerary covering the dated July 3 through August 31, 1937), application details including costs and travel.
The tour, however, was not to be, and fell through for reasons that are today unknown. Still, a fascinating example of one of the earliest efforts in the United States to assemble an inter-racial educational tour, with one of the great African-American authors and poets as its guide.
