An exhaustively detailed and beautifully rendered reproduction of the renowed Ngor monastery collection of 139 mandalas, illustrating the rGyud sde kun btus, a treasury of esoteric tantric knowledge. The size of the volumes is meant to replicate the original dimensions of the Mandalas, produced by Tibetan artists on Indian Canvas at a size of 38.5 x 38.5 cm. The accompanying textual volume provides a comprehensive analysis, including a history of the collection, a preface by the head of the Sa skya school, an explanation of the system of the rGyud sde kun btus, and a complete list of the deities identified in each icon together with the relevant Sanskrit root texts and rGyud sde kun btus text for each respective teaching.
