Beverly Hills, CA: Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer [MGM], 1953. Draft British script for the 1954 UK film, released in the US as "Crest of the Wave." Copy belonging to sound recordist Peter Handford, with his name in manuscript pencil on the front wrapper.

At a top secret naval base is located on an island near the coast of Scotland, a small group of British naval officers and their staff are joined by an American scientist and his assistants to devise a new kid of torpedo. If successful, this torpedo has the potential to guarantee Anglo-American naval superiority. But testing the newly created weapon turns out to be more dangerous than expected.

Shot on location in the Channel Islands.

Title page integral with the first page of the script. 167 leaves, mimeograph duplication, with white and blue-edged revision pages throughout, undated or dated variously between 5.2.52 and 19.3.53.
