Boston: Houghton, Mifflin, 1942. First Edition. Near Fine in a Very Good plus dust jacket. Book is bright and clean but for a touch of foxing to the edges of the front board and top page edges. Jacket is bright and colorful, light chipping to the spine ends, a couple of tiny closed tears, and some rubbing at the extremities. Basis for the 1946 film noir starring Richard Basehart and Joan Leslie. [Book #83149]
