Culver City, CA: Columbia Pictures, 1955. Original pressbook for the 1955 film noir. Directed by Phil Karlson, based on the 1954 novel by Jack Finney. Written for the screen by John Barnwell, William Bowers, and Stirling Silliphant, and starring Guy Madison, Kim Novak, and Brian Keith. A group of Korean War veterans, along with an attractive female associate, plan to rob a casino simply to prove it can be done.
Shot on location in Reno, this film, an early starring role for Kim Novak, is a curious blend of lighthearted caper film and dark, psychological film noir. Very much a model for "Ocean's Eleven" and many caper films that would follow.
16 pages, saddle stitched, 12 x 16 inches. Near Fine. Faint horizontal fold crease at the center of the wrapper and pages. Faint rubbing and dusting to the wrappers, with minor wear to hinge fold but no starting.
