Marbled boards in half-bound red morocco leather, compartments, titles and designs all gilt, marbled endpapers, top page edges gilt, all other page edges rough cut. Very Good condition. Light shelfwear overall, corners lightly bumped, rear hinge split but not shaky, foxing throughout. Apperley's autobiographical narrative of his passion for fox-hunting, horse racing, and other sporting events, considered by many to be best sporting book of the 19th century. A very presentable copy.
