Farmer was a British pastor who practiced in Essex in the early 18th century. His writings and teachings were distinct in that he viewed the Devil as an allegorical manifestation, supernatural evil as non-existent, but miracles in daily life as a reality. His views on miracles evolved over time toward a belief in natural law having governance over events.
Revised in several subsequent editions, with additions and further observations. A scarce title. Pages and binding Near Fine. An attractive copy.
