Based on an original scenario by Jacques Sigurd, adapted to English by Hugh Brooke. Claudia (Valli) and Jerome (Marais) meet in Paris shortly before WWII, fall in love and expect to get married. The war interrupts their romance, and the two wait until after the war to rekindle their passion, only the same passion seems to be lacking.

Shot on location in France and Italy.
