The Blue Plaid Sneakers

Universal City, CA: Daniel Grodnik Productions, 1987. Draft script for an unproduced film.

A university physics lab creates a pair of plaid shoes that have the ability to transport the wearer from one location to another via a hyperspace jump, with the serious caveats that the shoes cannot be removed, and that after 25 hours the wearer disappears forever. A courier asked to transport the shoes to a secure government location is mugged and made to put them on, and we follow his youthful antics as he tries to find a way to remove the shoes before it's too late.
