Final Paramount film starring Alan Ladd, who plays a determined medical student en route to New South Wales. The vessel he is aboard is also occupied by a group of British convicts, displaced from their prison due to overcrowding. The Captain (James Mason) is a sadistic authoritarian, who enjoys delving out exceptionally harsh punishments to his unfortunate crew. The film was directed by academy award winner John Farrow, best known for "Around the World in Eighty Days."
White titled wrappers, noted as Final White on the front wrapper, dated December 7, 1951, with credits for director Farrow and screenwriter Latimer.
