Intermezzo

Beverly Hills, CA: Selznick International, 1939. Archive of five scripts from the 1939 film, including a Temporary Draft script and four post-production scripts: 1939 One Line Continuity for the 1936 Swedish version, Cutting Continuity for a re-release (October 20, 1947), and two drafts, release and re-release, of the Dialogue Continuity (September 22, 1939 and October 20, 1947, respectively).

Nominated for two Academy Awards: Best Cinematography and Best Musical Score. A richly produced American remake of the Swedish film by Gustav Molander, with Ingrid Bergman—new to the American studios at that time—recreating her role. A famed concert violinist (Leslie Howard) who is married with children falls in love with a young pianist (Bergman) and begins an affair with her.
