Beverly Hills, CA: Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer [MGM], 1947. Original US half sheet poster for the 1947 film adaptation of Chandler's fourth novel.
An unusual and ambitious film noir, Montgomery's final MGM picture, the entire film shot from Marlowe's perspective with the protagonist only ever visible in reflections and during a few scenes when he addresses the audience directly.
28 x 22 inches, folded. Very Good plus. Faint distribution company blindstamp to bottom edge. Starting to the folds, and a couple of chips and tiny closed tears, and light toning to the edges, but otherwise a bright and unfaded image.
