After Francisi's immensely popular "Hercules," an onslaught of sword-and-sandal (known as "Peplum") films quickly followed. There were comedies, romances, adventures, and the occasional sci-fi romp. This stars Tina Louise (before her tenure with "Gilligan's Island") as Sappho, the "world's boldest beauty."
