A deep Hollywood-style romance, about a young mentally disabled girl and her distraught parents. The girl eventually falls in love with a young Italian, but the parents are torn between putting the girl into institutional care, or letting her marry. George Hamilton was nominated for a BAFTA (1963) for his performance.
