L'Immortelle

Paris: Les Éditions de Minuit, 1963. Early printing, with ads for books published as late as 1967 on the front flap. French photoplay edition of "L'Immortelle" (1963), the directorial debut of novelist and filmmaker Alain Robbe-Grillet.

After writing the screenplay for Alain Resnais' "Last Year at Marienbad" (1961) Robbe-Grillet was offered the opportunity to direct a film by producer Samy Halfon, "Hiroshima mon amour" (1959). It was filmed on location in Istanbul and starred Francoise Brion and Jacques Doniol-Valcroze.

This edition features 40 photographic illustrations from the film.

Very Good plus in wrappers. Toned spine and edges with minor soiling and bumped corners.
