Hotel du Nord

Paris: Societe d'Exploitation et de Distribution de Films, 1938. Set of 3 black-and-white still photographs from the US premiere of the 1964 film. Also on the verso is a stamp for the US distributor, THEATRICAL PLAYS.

A very rare set of photographs from Carne's pre-war, mood drenched masterpiece that followed the thematically similar "Port of Shadows," and preceding the much greater fame that would come to his work in 1945 with "Children of Paradise"
