Based on characters created by Edgar Rice Burroughs, with Johnny Weissmuller as Tarzan and Maureen O'Sullivan as Jane. Tarzan and Jane have taken up residence in their treehouse, replete with animal-powered elevator. Two of Jane's British relatives, and an underhanded hunter, come looking for Jane and plan to capture Tarzan for a display in London.
Refilmed before release, and cutting several scenes involving killer pygmies, torture, and vampire bats.
