Universal City, CA: Universal, 1969. First Draft script for the 1969 film.
Michelle Gallagher (Moore), Irene Hawkins (McNair) and Barbara Bennett (Elliot) are three nuns who volunteer to go as nurses into a mixed-race neighborhood, without their customary garb. The clinic where they are sent is run by John Carpenter (Presley), a young doctor. As Dr. Carpenter sings to the ailing children, in a strange and symbolic parallel, Sister Michelle is transfixed both by a crucifix hanging on the wall.
Elvis' last acting film credit.
Shot on location at the Mayfield Senior School in Pasadena, California.
