Los Angeles: Twentieth Century-Fox, 1943. Two vintage photographs from the 1943 film. One still is a black-and-white reference photograph, and the other is a hand-tinted color studio still.
Based on a story by W.R. Burnett. Lieutenant Ward Stewart (Power) is made executive officer of the submarine USS Corsair. Before sailing, he meets schoolteacher Jean Hewlett (Baxter) and seduces her, unaware that she's the sweetheart of Lieutenant Dewey Connors (Andrews), his newly appointed commander. At sea, the men bond, unaware of their shared love interest.
Winner of an Academy Award for Best Effects.
Both stills 8 x 10 inches. Slight light edge creases. Very Good plus overall.
