N.p. Trans American Films, 1966. Original pressbook for the 1966 Italian film. An early "mondo" documentary, ("shockumentary"), featuring shockingly real customs throughout the world, predating many similar films that would make the "video nasties" list, a list of films banned in England in the 1980s. Not to be confused with the 1980 Lamberto Bava film of the same name.

The "shockumentary" is a type of filmmaking that relates worldly customs and practices that would seem shocking to normal audiences, often showcasing staged events rather than actual ones. Similar films include "Mondo cane" (1962), "Taboos of the World" (1963), and "Ecco" (1964). This film features gypsy tribes, surgery footage, wrestling head-hunting Brazilians, sexy secretaries eating snakes, hanging children on parade floats in Italy, Swedish railway roulette, and much more. Narrated by prolific voice-over actor Marvin Miller, who's film credits include "Blood on the Sun" (1945), "Red Planet Mars" (1952), "Godzilla Raids Again" (1955), "Forbidden Planet" (1956), and Disney's "Sleeping Beauty" (1959).

11 x 17 inches, saddle-stapled, 8 pages. black-and-white throughout with green wrappers. Horizontal fold at the middle, else Near Fine.
