Orca: The Killer Whale

Hollywood: Paramount Pictures, 1977. Original Treatment script for the 1977 horror film, here under the alternate title of "Orc."

A blatant attempt to cash in on the popularity of "Jaws" two years earlier, the film follows a fishing vessel being stalked by a killer whale bent on avenging the death of its pregnant mate at the hands of the crew. The treatment begins with eight pages of scientific information on orcas culled from various scientific and popular sources, a commitment to scientific accuracy and realism belied by the story itself.

Goldenrod wrappers, with the title of the film in holograph ink on the front wrapper. Title page present, with the name and address of Famous Films production company present. 52 leaves, with last page of text numbered 40. Xerographically duplicated.
