Mickey Mackenzie (Copley) is a girl in her early 20s who applies for a housekeeping job in Manhattan. Her employers are two bachelors, David Tucker (McCoy), a conservative attorney, and Jay Bostwick (Villard), a liberal salesman. Both bachelors have girlfriends who are skeptical of Mickey, but eventually they come to accept her as a friend.

The show was canceled after less than a year, but was syndicated in 1987 and, again, was canceled after less than a year.
