Based on Florence Montgomery's 1869 novel. John (Quayle) is the UK Consul in Florence, Italy, where he becomes a widower with two sons. Andrew (Colagrande) is the oldest, constantly assuming responsibility for his younger brother Miles' (Giannozzi) shenanigans, until one act that proves too much.
