Peter MacNicol, best known for his role in the Academy Award winning drama "Sophie's Choice," plays a young magician apprentice faced with stopping a ferocious dragon. The film was notable for its advanced visual effects, even receiving two Academy Award nominations. Cinematographer Derek Vanlit shot the seminal science fiction classic "Alien" two years earlier.

Set in a 16th century kingdom, shot in various locations across the UK.
