Conquest of the Planet of the Apes

Los Angeles: Twentieth Century Fox, 1972. Final shooting script for the 1972 film.

The fourth of five films in the original motion pictures series based loosely on Pierre Boulle's 1963 novel. Following thematically on the heels of its predecessor "Escape from the Planet of the Apes," an intelligent time traveling ape named Caesar has been left by his parents back in 1991 in the care of a kindly circus owner (Ricardo Montalban). Unfortunately he is found out by prejudiced human authorities, progressively leading to a full-blown ape revolt and the future ascendence of all of apekind.
