After an atomic explosion blasts the Moon into deep space, the Moonbase-Alpha and its several hundred inhabitants drift until a rescue party from Earth arrives. the commander of the space station sees the rescue party differently, as aliens hellbent on extracting radiation from the moon and then destroying it and everything it contains.
