Fess Parker and Annie Cordy at a "Davy Crockett" celebrity signing in Paris

France: Robert-Leon Ruthe, Circa 1956. Archive of 120 vintage borderless single weight still photographs from a Parisian celebrity signing event with "Davy Crockett" actor Fess Parker, and French singer Annie Cordy. Photographer Robert-Leon Ruth's rubber stamp on the verso of all photos. About half are housed in a vintage French Lumiere brand photo paper box, the other half in a vintage Walt Disney Mickey Mouse S.A. mailing envelope with annotations on the front in holograph pencil: "Remette [deliver] / Mr. C. d. La Maziere."

Parker, who portrayed the beloved fur trapper nearly ten times, is presumably fresh of the set of the Norman Foster film, "Davy Crockett's Keelboat Race" (1955), a television episode of the "Disneyland" series. Parker was nearing the end of his career as Crockett, and his tenure with Disney, while Annie Cordy, whose version of "The Ballad of Davy Crockett" was climbing the music charts in France.
