Peter Conrad is a successful American defense attorney and he is on a tour of Europe, revisiting places he had seen during World War II, places where his friends died. He ends up in Sicily, where he hopes to reconnect with a young woman he met during the war. He finds her but she has been promised to another and amidst a backdrop of Mafia activity, he vows to win her over and prove his true Sicilian heritage.

Set in Sicily.
