A superb set of uncommon images. Ripe with both class and sexual tension, Tony Richardson's 1959 film portrays a marriage on the brink of collapse in claustrophobic quarters. In the vein of "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof," class resentment simmers beneath the surface of a relationship between a man and a woman.

Shot on location in England.

8 x 10 inches. Very Good plus overall. Occasional dampstaining to the margins and versos. Ink notation to the verso of one image.
