A young man believes himself to be a vampire and struggles to control his bloodlust after moving in with his uncle and cousin in a small town. The first collaboration between Romero and legendary special effects artist Tom Savini, the film is notable for being confiscated from distributors in UK during the "video nasty" panic, having a major effect on its distribution. Today, though still unrestored, it remains a Romero highspot.
