Los Angeles: Comworld Pictures, 1980. Draft script for the 1983 film. Seen here under the title "Bump in the Night."
A low-budget slasher in which a group of friends go camping in the woods only to find that someone has begun picking them off (spoiler alert: it's one of the camper's mothers). Originally shot in 1981, the film would be held up for two years while seeking a distributor, which it eventually found due to the increasing fame of actors Rachel Ward, Darryl Hannah, and Adrian Zmed. Believing that the reason the film wasn't getting picked up for distribution due to the fact that it only had a three person body count, producer Joe Roth filmed an opening scene in which two unrelated characters are also killed in the woods.
Shot on location in Crescent City, California.
