Oliver Barrett IV (Ryan O'Neal), a wealthy Harvard Law student and Jennifer Cavilleri (Ali MacGraw), a working class music student fall in love despite their class differences. As their love grows into a serious relationship, and eventually marriage, they face the disapproval of the Oliver's father despite Jenny's attempts to find common ground. Winner of the 1971 Academy Award for Best Original Score, and nominated for six others.
