Guillaume le Confident

Paris: W. Fischer, 1951. Original theatre program for the French play, "Guillaume le Confident" circa 1951. The play premiered at the Theatre de Paris, but little is written of the play or its synopsis, and is presumed to have been a comedy about former lovers. Most of the cast and crew were already featured in French films, notably Dux, screenwriter Arout, Genia, Gauthier, and Murzeau. Throughout the program are black-and-white photographs of cast and crew portraits, ads for perfume, beverages, jewelers and cigarettes, a brief ambiguous blurb about the play, and short biography of Arnout by Andre Warnod. Most of the programs to come from the theatre during this time were in similar blue wrappers with ship logo.

5.25 x 7 inches, 12 leaves, saddle-stapled. Very Good plus, with moderate foxing and a few faint creases.
