Christo Vladdimirov Javacheff and his wife Jeanne-Claude Denat de Guillebon worked together on environmental artworks for nearly 50 years. Christo is pictured here in front of preliminary sketches of their monumental work "The Pont Neuf Wrapped," in which they wrapped the 1607 bridge in 40,000 square meters of sand colored polyamide fabric. Wolfgang Volz was their sole photographer for the majority of their career.
