Late French noir based on Simenon's novel "L'Affaire Saint-Fiacre" (1932). Maigret (Gabin) is called to the countryside to investigate the mysterious death of a countess.
Shot on location at the Castle Saint Fiacre, Gaillon-sur-Montcient, and Vernon, France.
