Two lifelong friends and Alaskan salmon fisherman, Tyler Dawson (George Raft) and Jim Kimmerlee (Henry Fonda) fall into conflict when Tyler befriends a Russian fish pirate and Jim sides with the local vigilantes. The film won an honorary Academy Award for outstanding achievements in creating special effects.
