Based on Barry's 1939 eponymous play. A socialite (Hepburn) with plans to marry is interrupted by her ex-husband (Grant) and a tabloid photographer (Stewart) and his partner, a female photographer (Hussey). Winner of two Academy Awards (Best Acto, Best Writing), and four nominations (Outstanding Production, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress). The film has been deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant" by the Library of Congress.
