Based on the 1960 novel of the same name by Henry Farrell. Two aging sisters live in their old Hollywood mansion. Jane Hudson (Bette Davis), once an adored child star now takes care of her wheel chair bound sister Blanche (Joan Crawford), whose acting career overshadowed her own in later years. Jane torments Blanche in the isolation of their decrepit home. Winner of the Academy Award for Best Costumes and nominated for four others.
