Based on the 1928 novel of the same name by Vladimir Nabokov. Frank (John Moulder Brown), a young orphaned man goes to live with his uncle Charles (David Niven) and his wife Martha (Gina Lollobrigida). Frank soon finds himself fantasizing about Martha, a relationship that will bring chaos to the household. Nominated for a Palme d'Or award at the Cannes Film Festival.
