A woman breaks off her engagement with her fiance when he becomes violent after she has an abortion, only to be stalked by him when she later has a child with her new husband. An early, grim New Hollywood entry, directed by Val Lewton veteran Mark Robson, and one of the first screenwriting efforts by Larry Cohen. .

Shot on location in San Francisco.
